Industrial Adventures seminar
A graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in physics, then a PhD from Stanford, Hervé Le Lous took over a discreet subsidiary of the Fournier group, founded by his father, with the ambition of making it a leader in supermarket parapharmacy. He launched it into food supplements, and met with success, notably with Juvamine. On the death of his father, he took over the management of the Group, sold Laboratoires Fournier and focused on Laboratoires URGO: wound dressings seemed to him to represent considerable potential, provided he continued to produce the very best. Today, this adventure has led to a world leader with 3,500 employees. Passionate about teaching, convinced that capitalism and humanism feed off each other, he developed methods for creating, growing, managing, deciding, managing relationships and negotiating, methods which he passed on to his employees and which he recorded in a book when he handed over the reins of the Group to his children.
