The author?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Savero Ansaldi<\/strong> is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Reims-Champagne Ardenne ands, \u201cSpinoza et le Baroque. Infini, d\u00e9sir, multitude\u201d (Kim\u00e9, 2001); Nature et Puissance. Giordano Bruno et Spinoza (Kim\u00e9, 2006); Giordano Bruno. Une philosophie de la m\u00e9tamorphose (Classiques Garnier, 2010); L\u2019imagination fantastique. Images, ombres et miroirs \u00e0 la Renaissance (Les Belles Lettres, 2014); Les liens de la m\u00e9tamorphose. Philosophy and Magic from the Renaissance to the Classical Age\u201c (Kim\u00e9, 2017); \u201dFury and Melancholy. Philosophy, Theology, and Poetry in the Renaissance,\u201c ENS-Editions, 2017; \u201dGiordano Bruno. L\u2019eretico impeninente e ostinato” (Mondadori, 2024. French translation to be published by Presses de l’Universit\u00e9 de Rennes in 2026). He translated Gilles Deleuze’s \u201cSpinoza and the Problem of Expression\u201d into Italian. He is also the author of a novel, \u201cLe linee del mondo\u201d (Manni Editore, 2025).<\/p>\n

Conference theme?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Condemned by the Roman Inquisition to be burned at the stake in February 1600 for the heresy of his philosophical theses, Giordano Bruno is an author who has since continued to question the most diverse disciplines: science, the arts, literature, and poetry. In our presentation, we will attempt to highlight the most innovative and daring aspects of his theories: the conception of an infinite, material, and pluralistic universe; the construction of an art of memory based on the principles of productive imagination; and the definition of a practice of magical bonds capable of profoundly transforming human relationships. The aim will be to reveal the coherence and power of a way of thinking that is more capable than ever of guiding us through the challenges of our contemporary world.<\/p>\n
