Persuad\u00e9s d\u2019avoir retrouv\u00e9 en Afrique la nature disparue en Europe, les colons cr\u00e9ent les premiers parcs naturels du continent, du Congo jusqu\u2019en Afrique du Sud. Puis, au lendemain des ann\u00e9es 1960, les anciens administrateurs coloniaux se reconvertissent en experts internationaux. Il faudrait sauver l\u2019\u00c9den ! Mais cette Afrique n\u2019existe pas. Il n\u2019y a pas de vastes territoires vierges de pr\u00e9sence humaine, et arpent\u00e9s seulement par ces hordes d\u2019animaux sauvages qui font le bonheur des safaris touristiques. Il y a des peuples, qui circulent depuis des mill\u00e9naires, ont fait souche, sont devenus \u00e9leveurs ici ou cultivateurs l\u00e0. Pourtant, ces hommes, ces femmes et enfants seront \u2013 et sont encore \u2013 expuls\u00e9s par milliers des parcs naturels africains, o\u00f9 ils subissent aujourd\u2019hui la violence quotidienne des \u00e9co-gardes soutenus par l\u2019Unesco, le WWF et tant d\u2019autres ONG.<\/p>\n

Convoquant archives in\u00e9dites et r\u00e9cits de vie, ce livre met au jour les contradictions des pays d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s qui d\u00e9truisent chez eux la nature qu\u2019ils croient prot\u00e9ger l\u00e0-bas, prolongeant, avec une stup\u00e9fiante bonne conscience, le sch\u00e8me d\u2019un nouveau genre de colonialisme : le colonialisme vert.<\/p>\n

The invention of green colonialism. To put an end to the myth of the African Eden<\/strong><\/p>\n

The story begins at the end of the 19th century. Convinced that they had rediscovered in Africa the nature that had disappeared in Europe, the colonists created the first natural parks on the continent, from the Congo to South Africa. Then, after the 1960s, the former colonial administrators became international experts. Eden should be saved! But this Africa does not exist. There are no vast territories untouched by the presence of humans, and only inhabited by hordes of wild animals that delight tourists on safaris. There are peoples, who have been circulating for thousands of years, have become breeders here or farmers there. However, these men, women and children will be \u2013 and still are \u2013 expelled by the thousands from the African natural parks, where they are now subjected to the daily violence of eco-guards supported by Unesco, the WWF and many other NGOs.<\/p>\n

Based on a set of mostly unpublished archives and life stories, this book brings to light the contradictions of developed countries that destroy in their own countries the nature they believe they are protecting over there, prolonging, with an astonishing good conscience, the scheme of a new kind of colonialism: green colonialism.<\/p>\n
