The seminar on Wednesday 09\/02\/2022 at 4pm. The log-in information for the live stream on Zoom will also be provided in due course.<\/p>\n<p>Florian will talk about:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Environmental Policies and Directed Technological Change<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>We evaluate if and to which extent policy can steer innovation towards eco-friendly\u00a0technologies. We construct a cross-country dataset on sectoral green innovation\u00a0and complement it with data on policies designed to address environmental market failures:\u00a0environmental taxes, regulation, and R&amp;D subsidies. All of these tools exert a positive effect\u00a0on green innovation on average. However, we find substantial heterogeneities across regions\u00a0and sectors.
