The two authors\u2019 presentation stems from the question asked by US corporate giants in a\u00a0Business Roundtable\u2019s 2019 Statement on the Purpose of the Corporation:\u00a0<strong>What are companies for?\u00a0<\/strong>Taking an inter-disciplinary perspective, using both\u00a0<strong>law and social sciences<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>they will examine how Austrian corporate law has introduced a legal provision requiring corporate leaders to consider plural interests in their managing of the corporation. Mainly, they will show how the emerging form of the\u00a0<strong>\u2018enterprise\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0vis-\u00e0-vis the<strong>\u00a0\u2018corporation\u2019,\u00a0<\/strong>has led to the legal consideration of the stakeholders\u2019 interests, as well as the enterprise\u2019s\u00a0<em>own interest<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Peter Doralt et Stephan Leixnering: \u00ab What are companies for ?
