{"id":8855,"date":"2016-07-07T15:57:31","date_gmt":"2016-07-07T14:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/i3.cnrs.fr\/en\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=8855&#038;lang=en"},"modified":"2018-05-28T15:18:18","modified_gmt":"2018-05-28T14:18:18","slug":"an-article-in-le-monde-on-a-study-by-the-chair-of-medias-and-brand-economics","status":"publish","type":"actualite","link":"https:\/\/i3-cnrs.fr\/en\/actualite\/an-article-in-le-monde-on-a-study-by-the-chair-of-medias-and-brand-economics\/","title":{"rendered":"A study by the Chair of Medias and Brand Economics in Le Monde"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alexis Delcambre published an article on July 7 in le Monde Economie : &#8220;La production audiovisuelle en mal d\u2019exportation.&#8221; drawing upon a study conducted by the Mines ParisTech Chair of Medias and Brand Economics.<\/p>\n<p>According to Alexis Delcambre, the starting point of the study is a the stagnation of French audiovisual production; it offers a number of ways to boost growth: redirecting funding towards the TV series; encouraging the producers&#8217; grouping; rebalance rights to works and distribution mandates in favour of television channels; raising the thresholds for the production dependent of the TV channels.<\/p>\n<p>He concludes the article by suggesting that these proposals &#8220;<em>might hurt the movie producers as well as the largest program producers<\/em>.&#8221; But he cites Olivier Bomsel\u2019s reaction: &#8220;<em>The French system is historically oriented towards cinema, and it leads to increasing inequality since the game became sum negative.
