Innovation Management Seminar

Innovation Management Seminar

More and more often, innovation is the result of the ingenious hybridization of technologies from different horizons, all of which are difficult for a single company to master. New information technologies facilitate off-site cooperation. Finally, it is becoming possible, even necessary, to offer a product to the entire world market, and it is often essential to be the first to do so. To cope with these upheavals, companies are forging numerous alliances – some of which would have been considered unnatural not so long ago – and setting up project structures that sometimes make it difficult to accumulate knowledge and expertise. Those in charge of technology development, often helpless in the face of these brutal changes, are groping for suitable practices. Public authorities are also finding that their intervention methods are increasingly inadequate.

The aim of the seminar, organized since 1997 in collaboration with the CRG (Ecole Polytechnique), Paris X-Nanterre, the “Futures of industry and work / training, innovation, territories (FIT2)” chair at MINES ParisTech and the École de Paris du Management, is to enable R&D managers and researchers specializing in the management of technology to discuss these issues, to study the concrete problems of implementing new methods and their effects, and to draw on their wide-ranging experience in order to make the best use of their knowledge.
