SUMMARY:The CSI Guests Seminar will welcome Linsey McGoey Department of sociology\, University of Essex
DESCRIPTION:The CSI Guests Seminar will welcome \nLinsey McGoey \nDepartment of sociology\, University of Essex \n \nto discuss her book \nIntroduction to the discussion by Victoria Brun \nDescription. Deliberate ignorance has been known as the ‘Ostrich Instruction’ in law courts since the 1860s. It illustrates a recurring pattern in history in which figureheads for major companies\, political leaders and industry bigwigs plead ignorance to avoid culpability. So why do so many figures at the top still get away with it when disasters on their watch damage so many people’s lives? Does the idea that knowledge is power still apply in today’s post-truth world? \nA bold\, wide-ranging exploration of the relationship between ignorance and power in the modern age\, from debates over colonial power and economic rent-seeking in the 18th and 19th centuries to the legal defences of today\, The Unknowers shows that strategic ignorance has not only long been an inherent part of modern power and big business\, but also that true power lies in the ability to convince others of where the boundary between ignorance and knowledge lies. \n  \nLinsey McGoey\, The Unknowers: How Strategic Ignorance Rules the World\, Zed Books\, 2019 \n\n\nThe Guest Seminar Series is organized collectively by the CSI PhD students. It is open upon registration. \nCSI Guest seminar programme \n\n\nFormat: the session will be held in hybrid mode ( in person / videoconference).\nPlease note\, attendance in person is open to members of the CSI only (venue: room L226). SUMMARY:Cerna Research Seminar will welcome Chloé Le Coq (Paris 2\, CRED)
DESCRIPTION:We have the pleasure to announce Chloé Le Coq (Paris 2\, CRED) as the next speaker in our CERNA Research Seminar series. The seminar will take place on Wednesday 9/3/2022 at 16:00 in Salle Vendome\, Mines ParisTech. The log-in information for the live stream on Zoom will also be provided in due course.\n \nChloé will talk about: \n  \n Cartel birth and death dynamics: empirical evidence \nThis paper examines how the legal and macroeconomic environments impact cartel births and deaths. We exploit the gradual tightening of the competition law to study how cartels react to increased competition pressure. To avoid the inherent sample selection bias in prosecuted cartel studies\, we use a unique dataset covering the population of Swedish legal cartels registered between 1947 and 1993. We estimate both a count model that considers the registered cartels and a hidden Markov model\, which accounts for the varying efficiency of the register in observing collusion. These two complementary approaches allow us to characterize the observed\, and potentially hidden\, dynamics of cartels. We find that strengthening the competition law has some deterrent effect. However\, as the competition law becomes more severe (i.e.\, the cartel ban’s threat becomes credible)\, cartels continue forming but are undercovered. We also show that volatility and high-interest rates hinder collusion (lowering births and increasing deaths).  \n  \nTo register for the seminar

SUMMARY:Cerna Lunch Seminar with Tove Karlsson (Stockholm School of Economics)
DESCRIPTION:We have the pleasure to announce Tove Karlsson (Stockholm School of Economics) as the next speaker in our CERNA Lunch Seminar series. The seminar will take place on Tuesday 08/03/2022 at 12:30 am in Salle Chevalier. The log-in information for the live stream on Zoom will also be provided in due course.\n \nTove will talk about: \nEvaluating the Production Approach \nto Estimate Markups \n  \n How reliable are markups estimated with the production approach? The production approach derives a measure of firm-level markups from the firm’s cost minimization problem\, which can be estimated from financial data on firms. However\, concerns have been raised about the distribution of estimated markups and their information content on true markups. This paper examines this concern empirically. While the distribution of true markups is notoriously hard to estimate\, it is a stylized fact that markups are higher on more concentrated markets. Given this relationship between true markups and market structure\, I test whether estimated markups are higher on more concentrated markets. Using panel data on the complete population of Swedish firms across four sectors\, 251 local markets\, and 20 years\, I find that markup estimates generally follow the expected pattern. My results\, thus\, support the reliability of the production approach.

SUMMARY:CRG breakfast with Hervé Dumez and Etienne Minvielle
DESCRIPTION:The CRG celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2022\, on which occasion various events will be organised\, including the CRG breakfasts. \nThe first edition concerns a presentation of the book by Hervé Dumez and Etienne Minvielle “Voyage au coeur du système de santé”. \n \nFrom April 2020 to April 2021\, more than one hundred interviews were conducted. On the one hand\, they covered all the actors involved: from medical students to members of ministerial cabinets\, including hospital directors\, doctors\, carers\, ARS and central administration officials. But also\, on the other hand\, the diversity of the regions concerned\, in metropolitan France and in the islands. Finally\, they were carried out during the different phases of the crisis\, the first\, second and third waves. They give an overall view of the crisis in its dynamics and at all the levels that one would expect. \n  \n  \n  \nHervé Dumez is the Director of the Centre de Recherche en Gestion (CRG) at the Ecole polytechnique and Director of the Institut Interdisciplinaire de l’Innovation (i3 UMR CNRS). He is the author and co-author of numerous books and publications\, including Competition in Europe with Alain Jeunemaître\, Accountability\, New Societal Requirement and How business organizes collectively with Sandra Renou. \n  \nEtienne Minvielle is a research director at the CNRS. He is a professor at the Ecole Polytechnique and is also attached to the Institut Gustave Roussy as a public health physician. His research on the health care system has been published in the most recognised journals in the field\, including The British Medical Journal\, Public Administration Review and Social Sciences and Medicine. \nTo register for the event\,  click here \nTo know the next editions of CRG breakfasts

We construct a cross-country dataset on sectoral green innovation and complement it with data on policies designed to address environmental market failures: environmental taxes\, regulation\, and R&D subsidies. All of these tools exert a positive effect on green innovation on average. However\, we find substantial heterogeneities across regions and sectors. While we are unable to directly compare the cost-effectiveness of policies\, we find that green innovation reacts most strongly to R&D subsidies. \nPlease register:

SUMMARY:The CSI Guests Seminar will host Madeleine Fairbairn Assistant Professor\, Environmental Studies Department\, University of California\, Santa Cruz
DESCRIPTION:The CSI Guests Seminar will host \nMadeleine Fairbairn \nAssistant Professor\, Environmental Studies Department\, \nUniversité de Californie à Santa Cruz \nto discuss her book \n  \nFields of Gold \nFinancing the Global Land Rush \n \nIntroduction to the discussion  (discussant to be confirmed) \nCover back : \nFields of Gold critically examines the history\, ideas\, and political struggles surrounding the financialization of farmland. In particular\, Madeleine Fairbairn focuses on developments in two of the most popular investment locations\, the US and Brazil\, looking at the implications of financiers’ acquisition of land and control over resources for rural livelihoods and economic justice. \nAt the heart of Fields of Gold is a tension between efforts to transform farmland into a new financial asset class\, and land’s physical and social properties\, which frequently obstruct that transformation. But what makes the book unique among the growing body of work on the global land grab is Fairbairn’s interest in those acquiring land\, rather than those affected by land acquisitions. Fairbairn’s work sheds ethnographic light on the actors and relationships—from Iowa to Manhattan to São Paulo—that have helped to turn land into an attractive financial asset class. \nThanks to generous funding from UC Santa Cruz\, the ebook editions of this book are available as Open Access volumes from Cornell Open (cornellopen.org) and other repositories. \nMadeleine Fairbairn\, Fields of Gold: Financing the Global Land Rush\, Cornell University Press\, 2020. \n  \nThe Guest Seminar Series is organized collectively by the CSI PhD students. SUMMARY:Session of the seminar "Enterprise\, Responsibility and Civilisation" of the Chair of Enterprise Theory with Aude-Solveig Epstein\, Lecturer at the University of Paris Nanterre
DESCRIPTION:The Chair of Corporate Theory is pleased to invite you to the next session of the seminar “Corporate Responsibility and Civilization  \nThe regulation of transnational corporations\, beyond the distinction between business law and environmental law  \nWith Aude-Solveig Epstein \nLecturer at the University of Paris Nanterre \n  \nIn Europe\, environmental protection has long been seen as the province of environmental law. At the same time\, the latter has been conceived globally as an autonomous discipline\, applicable only to activities located on national territory. However\, the relocation of the production of most environmental risks to developing countries raises questions about this model\, especially since many of the environmental damages thus relocated will later come back as a boomerang\, like greenhouse gases that warm the global atmosphere wherever they are emitted. \nA number of legal tools have therefore been developed to promote the accountability of large European companies\, which are called upon to green their entire transnational value chain\, beyond what local environmental legislation actually prescribes. However\, these tools remain for the moment more of an incentive than a direct constraint. Would it be legitimate and possible to go further by creating the conditions for real legal responsibility of large European companies for the environmental damage they make possible and from which they benefit? The presentation will examine this question by highlighting the fruitfulness of an analysis integrating the dual viewpoint of business law and environmental law. \n  \nAude-Solveig Epstein holds a doctorate in law from the University of Nice entitled “Environmental information and business: Contribution to the legal analysis of a regulation”. The thesis analyses the rise of a new form of regulation of the environmental impacts of companies\, which is essentially based on obligations to produce and disseminate information on the impacts of companies and on their environmental performance objectives.  She is a qualified lecturer in public and private law at the University of Paris Nanterre\, and is also a member of the Centre for Civil Law and Business Litigation (CEDCACE).  She is currently Visiting Professor of Legal Studies at New York University Abu Dhabi. \n  \nThis conference will be held remotely. SUMMARY:Cerna seminar wil host Geza Sapi from European Commission\, DG Competition\, Chief Economist's Team
DESCRIPTION:Cerna seminar : \n “Algorithms in the marketplace: An empirical analysis of automated pricing in e-commerce” \nGeza Sapi from European Commission\, DG Competition\, Chief Economist’s Team \n  \nAbstract: We analyze algorithmic pricing on Bol.com\, the largest online marketplace in the Netherlands and Belgium. Based on more than two months of pricing data for around 2\,800 popular products\, we find that algorithmic sellers can both increase and reduce the price of the Buy Box (the most prominently displayed offer for a product). Consistently with collusion\, algorithms benefit from each other’s presence: Prices are particularly high if two algorithms bid against each other and there is a medium number of sellers in the market. We identify several algorithmic pricing patterns that are often associated with collusion. Algorithmic sellers are more likely to win the Buy Box\, implying that consumers may face inflated prices more often. We also document efficiencies due to algorithmic pricing. With a sufficient number of competitors\, algorithmic sellers reduce the Buy Box price and compete particularly fiercely. Algorithms furthermore reduce prices in monopoly markets. We explain this by the inability of traditional product managers to manually adjust prices product-by-product for a large number of items\, which automated agents may correct. Overall\, our findings call for careful policy with respect to pricing algorithms\, that considers both the risk of collusion and the need to preserve potential efficiencies. \nRegister with dennis.rickert@mines-paristech.fr \n

SUMMARY:Cerna Lunch seminar
DESCRIPTION:Do firms strategically confuse their customers? Using a detailed dataset covering virtually all mobile phone tariffs and their handsets in the UK between January 2010 and September 2012\, we examine the co-evolution of prices with the differentiation and overlap of operators’ product portfolios. Incorporating the fact that mobile tariffs are multidimensional and hard to compare but easy to imitate and cheap to launch\, we argue that firms introduced a large number of dominated tariffs as an obfuscation strategy. We show that the increase in dominated tariffs correlates with the increase in average prices despite converging product portfolios. This exploratory study is one of the first to offer suggestive evidence of the existence and role of obfuscation as a firm strategy. \nWith the participation of Ambre Nicolle (CREST-ENSAI)\, Tobias Kretschmer (LMU Munich) and Christos Genakos (Cambridge Business School) \nThe presentation of the health pass is mandatory for people outside Mines Paristech \nFor more information\, please contact Dennis Rickert \n

SUMMARY:The Chair for the Future of Industry and Work at Mines-Paris PSL invites you to session 9 of the seminar Autonomy and Responsibility in Organizations:
DESCRIPTION:Sodebo Group: when a family-owned company builds resilience by developing people throughout the value chain. \nSession presentation:  \nFounded in 1973 by Simone and Joseph Bougro\, pork butchers and caterers in Saint-Georges de Montaigu\, the family business Sodebo\, which specializes in fresh catering products\, has made it its mission to do good for everyone and to do it well. Since 2000\, Marie-Laurence Gouraud\, Bénédicte Mercier and Patricia Brochard have been at the head of the French company\, continuing their parents’ project. Favoring integration since the beginning\, the company manufactures a large part of the ingredients that go into the composition of its products (salads\, pizzas\, boxes\, sandwiches…). These products are carefully cooked on site at a unique location in the Vendée region\, with a focus on responsible and sustainable quality. \nSodebo’s project has always been based on paying attention to the men and women in the company\, whatever their role and hierarchical position\, by helping them grow personally and professionally. The three co-presidents are committed to developing a form of continuous learning that allows each person to solve problems at his or her own level\, as suggested by the subsidiarity model. They also insist on the fact that the autonomy of employees must be exercised within a defined framework to allow the company to be collectively more resilient\, as the recent experience of the pandemic has shown. \nSodebo’s three co-Chairmen\, Marie-Laurence Gouraud\, Bénédicte Mercier and Patricia Brochard\, will be interviewed by Charles-Henri Besseyre des Horts\, Professor Emeritus at HEC Paris\, on issues related to (1) the development of individuals\, (2) the emergence of a form of subsidiarity\, (3) the mastery of autonomy and (4) the construction of collective resilience. \nPresentation of the seminar: \nThe Chair for the Future of Industry and Work at Mines – Paris Sciences et Lettres organizes a monthly seminar on the rise of autonomy in organizations. The objective of this seminar is to discuss concrete experiences of setting up an organization that favors employee autonomy by analyzing the difficulties encountered\, the impact on operational performance and on employee satisfaction\, the construction of “words to say it”… During the first year\, we will be interested in companies where different national or professional traditions coexist and in the support of middle management \n  \n  \n*Those wishing to attend in person must have a health pass and wear a mask. \nThursday\, November 18\, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm – at Mines-Paristech in the Salle Chevalier* or by videoconference. \nIn case of questions\, please contact: chaire-fit2@mines-paristech.fr

SUMMARY:Values and Personal Information Policy Chair (VP-IP)
DESCRIPTION:The Chairs for Personal Information Values and Policies (VP-IP) and  Connected Cars and Cyber Security (C3S) are organizing a joint conference on November 18\, 2021 dedicated to the treatment of personal data in the context of connected vehicles. A research report on Data Protection Impact Analysis (DPIA): the case of connected cars will be presented\, and its findings discussed.   \nThe Connected Cars & Cyber Security Chair\, the twelfth Télécom Paris teaching and research chair financed by companies and the second chair dealing with cybersecurity\, in partnership with Nokia\, Renault\, Thales\, Valeo and Wavestone\, is conducting its work along five main lines: \n1- Risk analysis and operational safety;\n2′ Data protection and real-time data flow\, cryptography and agility;\n3- Authentication\, identity and behavioral fingerprinting;\n4- Resilience by design;\n5- Protection of personal data involved in the connected vehicle (legal and societal aspects). \nIn this fifth area\, the C3S Chair works closely with the VP-IP Chair under the coordination of Claire Levallois-Barth (ITM). In this context\, Jonathan Keller\, a research engineer at the C3S Chair and associate researcher at the VP-IP Chair\, and Claire Levallois-Barth have conducted an in-depth study on Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) in connected cars. A first article entitled “Critical approach to the EDPS guidelines on connected vehicles submitted for consultation” was published in April 2020 in the newsletter n°17\, on the occasion of the release of the first version of the European Data Protection Committee (EDPS) guidelines on “processing of personal data in the context of connected vehicles and mobility applications”. \nThis work has since been the subject of a full Research Report (see summary below)\, and a companion document accessible to a wider audience. They will be made public at the joint conference of the VP-IP and C3S Chairs on the morning of November 18 (see details below). \nAIPD through the prism of a practical case \nThe digitization of the automobile\, or even its autonomization\, is a source of hope\, but also of concern. Among the latter\, the fear of a digital panopticon developed without the knowledge of drivers and passengers\, or even manufacturers\, through the collection and use of their personal data is emerging. \nThe prevention of such a fear is anticipated by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)\, Article 35 of which requires the data controller\, in certain circumstances\, to consult with stakeholders (subcontractors and technology providers in particular) prior to the implementation of any processing of personal data likely to entail a risk to the rights and freedoms of the persons concerned. \nAs a matter of principle\, the DPIA is mandatory for certain types of data processing under the GDPR. In this regard\, the European text explicitly provides for a list of five distinct criteria: evaluation or scoring of personal aspects\, automatic decision-making\, large-scale systematic monitoring of a publicly accessible area\, large-scale processing of sensitive data or highly personal data\, large-scale data. In its Interpretative Guidelines 1/2020 on Article 35 of the GDPR\, the EDPS adds four new alternative criteria: cross-referencing or combination of data sets\, data relating to vulnerable persons\, innovative use or application of new organizational solutions\, and processing that prevents data subjects from benefiting from a service or contract. \nAs a prerequisite to the implementation of the processing\, the obligation to conduct a DPIA should be seen as fulfilling two distinct functions: \n\nDefine and assess the risks to personal data processed by the data controller prior to the deployment of a processing operation to identify and reduce the inherent risks\, and\nHave a risk assessment management tool to prioritize the appropriate measures to be deployed and set up.\n\nThese two functions must allow the data controller to demonstrate the compliance of its data processing\, emphasizing the existence of active prevention to mitigate the harmful effects of the processing. \nSeveral methodologies are available to assist the data controller in conducting a DPIA. Four of them (CNIL\, PRIAM\, BSI and NIST) were evaluated in the context of the research report\, our main criterion being based on the following question: “which methodologies are the most relevant for analyzing the risks incurred in the context of a personal data processing operation involving a plurality of controllers?” Each methodology has advantages and disadvantages\, and takes into account a different set of risks. Although it is a manifestation of the principle of responsibility\, in practice\, the performance of a DPIA suffers from numerous shortcomings\, thus making the legal obligation to perform it more cumbersome. The research report thus demonstrates the legal and practical limits of the provisions of Article 35 of the GDPR and its interpretation by the European and French guidelines. Situated between an obligation of reinforced means in its realization and an obligation of result in the demonstration of its documentary proof\, the AIPD proves to be a difficult instrument to implement\, to say the least. \nTo study the methodologies related to PIA\, a practical case (“Biomem”) including different hypotheses of personal data processing by different actors has been defined in collaboration with the C3S Chair partners. This practical case – the implementation of on-demand video services in a connected vehicle – offers the possibility of applying four impact analysis methodologies to deduce their effectiveness in such a context and define adequate risk mitigation measures. Three assumptions are considered\, depending on whether the Biomem service is provided by a standalone entity\, by the vehicle manufacturer\, or by the video-on-demand provider as an ancillary service. The law and provisions applicable to registration data\, biometric data\, and geolocation data are examined. Interviews with data controllers\, third parties to the Chair\, were conducted (feedback). \nIn its third part\, the research report carries out an exercise in comparative law. Indeed\, uncertainties\, designated under the terminology of “risks”\, are mainly assessed at the European level by the two European legal systems\, the Council of Europe and the European Union. This assessment is in practice carried out by two courts set up by these systems\, the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Furthermore\, the issue of assessing damages under the GDPR requires studying judicial practice in non-EU states. In particular\, decisions rendered in the United States of America and the United Kingdom impose monetary penalties and invite an examination of the concept of harm. The various decisions taken by foreign authorities make it possible to explore the possible transposition of these Anglo-Saxon trends into French law. \nThe research report and the companion document allow us to better situate the Data Protection Impact Assessment process in the regulatory context\, and to consider the most relevant DPIA methodologies according to the needs encountered. \nContents of the research report “Data Protection Impact Assessment: the case of connected cars” \n\nContents of the research report “Data Protection Impact Assessment: the case of connected cars*\nIntroduction\nPart 1: Definition of the Biomem case study\n◊Chapter 1: Presentation of the three hypotheses of the Biomem case study\n◊Chapter 2: Law applicable to the processing carried out by Biomem\nPart 2: Risk analysis methodologies for personal data protection\n◊Chapter 1: Position of the European Data Protection Committee on personal data protection impact assessments (PIDA)\n◊Chapter 2: Feedback on how to conduct a DPIA\n◊Chapter 3: Analysis of the four selected methodologies under the prism of the European Data Protection Committee’s DPIA Guidelines\nPart 3: Judicialization of risks related to personal data\n◊Chapter 1: Risk assessment by the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union\n◊Chapter 2: The assessment of the personal data breach by the judicial judge\n◊Conclusion

SUMMARY:The CSI Guests Seminar will host Romain Bertrand Historian\, Research Director at Centre d’études et de recherches internationales (CERI- Sciences Po)
DESCRIPTION:Romain Bertrand \nHistorian\, Research Director at Centre d’études et de recherches internationales (CERI- Sciences Po) \nto discuss his book \n  \nLe Détail du monde \n\nL’art perdu de la description de la nature \n \nLe Détail du monde\, L’art perdu de la description de la nature \nIntroduction to the discussion by Roman Solé-Pomies \nBack cover: Les mots nous manquent pour dire le plus banal des paysages. \nWords fail us to describe the most banal of landscapes. Quickly running out of sentences\, we are unable to depict a wood’s edge. A meadow\, already\, is challenging\, dotted with agrimony\, cirse and columbine. However\, it has not always been so. In the time of Goethe and Humboldt\, the dream of a “natural history” attentive to all beings\, without restriction or distinction\, used the combined forces of science and literature to elevate “landscape painting” to the rank of a crucial knowledge. Then\, the galaxy and the lichen\, the child and the butterfly neighbored in peace in the same story. It is not that man mattered little: it is that everything mattered infinitely. From Alfred Wallace’s sketches to Francis Ponge’s “proêmes”\, from William Swainson’s bestiaries to Rainer Maria Rilke’s sonnets\, this book gives us the opportunity to hear the song\, as tenacious as it is tenuous\, of a very ancient knowledge of the world – a knowledge that lists beings by concordance of hues and textures\, composes ephemeral dictionaries with their glimmers of light\, and drifts away and calms down at the sight of their metamorphoses. \nRomain Bertrand\, Le Détail du monde. DESCRIPTION:The Chair for the Future of Industry and Work at Mines-Paris PSL invites you to session #8 of the seminar Autonomy and Responsibility in Organizations:\n  \nNutriset Group\, a mandate for transformation? \n  \nFaustine Lescanne-Malo (Nutriset Group Transformation Manager) and Gautier Joniot (Director at Kea & Partners) \n  \nRegistration is free but mandatory via the following link: https://forms.gle/83kz1WExtTz9LhR47 \n*Those wishing to attend in person must have a health pass and wear a mask. \n \nIf you have any questions\, please contact: chaire-fit2@mines-paristech.fr \n  \n\nPresentation of the session:  \nIn 2015\, Nutriset was given an extended corporate purpose with a mandate to “provide effective solutions to nutrition and malnutrition issues”. In 2020\, in order to meet ever more nutritional needs\, in a changing and increasingly competitive environment\, the Nutriset Group has committed to a transformation process with a deadline of 2022: to give each structure of the Group the additional means to develop. The firm Kéa & Partners is assisting it in this objective. During the process\, one question quickly became central: how can the mandate be used to support the transformation? \nPresentation of the seminar : \nThe Chair for the Future of Industry and Work at Mines – Paris Sciences et Lettres organizes a monthly seminar on the rise of autonomy in organizations. The objective of this seminar is to discuss concrete experiences of setting up an organization that favors employee autonomy by analyzing the difficulties encountered\, the impact on operational performance and on employee satisfaction\, the construction of “words to say it”… During the first year\, we will be interested in companies where different national or professional traditions coexist and in the support of middle management \n

SUMMARY:The CSI Guests Seminar will host Bernadette Bensaude-Vincent Philosopher and historian of science\, professor emeritus at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne
DESCRIPTION:The CSI Guests Seminar will host \nBernadette Bensaude-Vincent \nPhilosopher and historian of science\, professor emeritus at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne \nto discuss her book \nTemps-Paysage \nPour une écologie des crises \nIntroduction to the discussion : Clément Foutrel \nBack cover: Qu’il tende vers le progrès ou vers l’effondrement\, nous voyons le temps sous la forme d’une flèche\, et nous le supposons donc unique et linéaire\, maîtrisé\, dominé\, comme vu de dehors\, c’est-à-dire de nulle part. \nBernadette Bensaude-Vincent\, Temps-Paysage. SUMMARY:Conference on the book "L'entreprise\, l'ingénieur et le pouvoir" by Olivier Zarrouati and Mario Le Glatin
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \nGuests: Olivier Zarrouati and Mario Le Glatin \nThis book is the result of a particular research work and in an original form: a conversation between two engineers formerly employed by Zodiac Aerospace. In 5 acts\, the authors conduct a questioning tinged with engineering and management sciences on what makes a decision\, management\, collective action\, strategy\, responsibility of the leader\, and governance in a group of SMEs such as Zodiac Aerospace. Olivier Zarrouati approaches these key issues with the experience and reflexivity of top managers\, and with the singular viewpoint of an engineer\, where a relationship to analysis and design reasoning are combined\, never independent of human and personal values. \nConference organised as a videoconference \nRegistration: chaire-tmci@mines-paristech.fr \n  \n  \n  \n
