SUMMARY:Seminar ‘Maintaining. Architecture and maintenance\, what we care about’
DESCRIPTION:Seminar ‘Maintaining. Architecture and maintenance\, what we care about’ \nAttachments and heritage: figures from the ACMH \n  \nWhen it comes to heritage\, in France the “chief architect” is like a caretaker at the bedside of a living\, changing\, aging structure. \nWhat determines value? Who will maintain it? Confronted with the obsolescence of materials and the accumulation of layers of time\, conservation must contend with the living. Maintaining heritage invites us to compose with the intertwining of our fragilities. \nBetween care and attachment\, the next session of the Maintaining. Architecture and maintenance\, what we care about seminar will explore the links between architecture and maintenance through the practice of two heritage architects\, Charlotte Langlois\, heritage architect and co-managing partner of the Point 05 agency\, and Pierre Dufour\, chief architect of historic monuments and co-managing partner of the Antoine Dufour Architectes agency. \n  \n\nDate: Friday\, October 10\, 2025\, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nVenue: SCAU – 35 rue Tournefort\, Paris 5e \n  \nParticipation is free but registration is required. Please register here.\nAttendance is limited. Kindly let us know if you are unable to attend. \nThe seminar will be held in French. \n  \n  \nOrganized by architectural agency SCAU and Jérôme Denis.\nFind out more about the seminar program and objectives.
