SUMMARY:Seminar ‘Maintaining. Architecture and maintenance\, what we care about’
DESCRIPTION:  \n \nSeminar ‘Maintaining. Architecture and maintenance\, what we care about’ \nHere and now: time of third places\n \n  \nChallenging the temporal logic of traditional actors\, transitional urban planning puts maintenance and operation back at the heart of the project. Activating a place involves developing it\, ‘restarting the machine’\, and considering its sustainability. \nFor this new session\, the seminar invites itself to Césure to meet with the technical management of Plateau Urbain. For these experts in ‘making do\,’ the plasticity of places is inseparable from a renewed approach to ‘making things last’. The time of third places shifts the concerns of operators\, maintainers\, and users alike\, balancing constraint and flexibility. \n  \n\nDate: Friday September 12\, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. \nVenue: Césure\, 13 Rue Santeuil\, 75005 Paris – Room L’impasse  \n  \nParticipation is free but registration is required. Please register here.\nAttendance is limited. Kindly let us know if you are unable to attend. \nThe seminar will be held in French. \n  \nOrganized by architectural agency SCAU and Jérôme Denis.\nFind out more about the seminar program and objectives.
