SUMMARY:Seminar ‘Maintaining. Architecture and maintenance\, what we care about’
DESCRIPTION:  \nMaintaining in common: \nco-ownership beyond the infraordinary \n  \nFor this second session entitled ‘Maintaining in common: co-ownership beyond the infraordinary’\, we propose to investigate together the field of housing maintenance by focusing on co-ownership and its actors. \nAs the PUCA (Plan Urbanisme Construction Architecture / Urbanism Construction Architecture Plan) research program points out\, condominiums remain little studied by the social sciences\, even though they represent a third of French housing. Examining the notion of commons through the prism of wear and tear rather than use\, this session explores\, through stories and the figure of the condominium architect\, the forms of diplomacy and resistance forged between a building\, a community of actors\, and a relationship to time defined primarily by legal continuity. \n \n\nParticipation is free but registration is required. Please register here.\nAttendance is limited. Kindly let us know if you are unable to attend. \nThe seminar will be held in French. \n\nOrganized by architectural agency SCAU and Jérôme Denis.\nLearn more about the objectives and the program of the seminar \n \n\nPhoto : Wim Wenders\, Perfect days\, 2023\, Master Mind.
