SUMMARY:Interact seminar
DESCRIPTION:The interact seminar will welcome Olivier Fournout\, lecturer at Télécom-Paris\, who will present his work entitled: “Les injonctions paradoxales de la réussite” (The paradoxical injunctions of success). Olivier will put into perspective the following article (2024): \nJulien Billion1\, Catherine Lejealle2\, Olivier Fournout3\, Claire Doussard4\, « “My Disability Is Something We Use as a Strength” — Hero or Not Hero: Revisiting Critical Studies about Entrepreneurship »\, International Review of Entrepreneurship\, Article #1714\, 22(2) : https://www.senatehall.com/entrepreneurship?article=765 \nThe presentation will begin by reviewing the study of success behaviors in our liberal\, capitalist\, hypermodern societies\, which has given rise to several publications\, including : \n–       « The Hero-Leader Matrix in Business and Cinema »\, Journal of Business Ethics\, 2017 : https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10551-016-3063-4 ;  \n–       Le nouvel héroïsme\, puissances des imaginaires\, Presses des Mines\, 2022 : https://www.pressesdesmines.com/produit/le-nouvel-heroisme/ \nThe presentation will focus on two turning points in the collective publication of 2024: \n–       one\, critical\, discussing the heroisation of success behaviors; \n–   the other\, empirical\, testing the “hero-leader matrix” with a population of 20 entrepreneurs with motor or sensory disabilities. \nThe presentation will extend these two turning points by pointing out avenues for further work\, which may lead to further exchanges. \n  \nhttps://telecom-paris.zoom.us/j/97804268022?pwd=s2sGlOmapiGFk7Fy6Qahfht5Qbts8D.1 \nID de réunion: 978 0426 8022 \nCode secret: 796740 \nN.B. : Julien Billion defended a management thesis at I3-SES\, 2022\, “A very strong dream is that I will continue to be able to live and reason despite my disability”.
