This half-day conference aims to present the first findings of the project. \nThe “involuntary collective sobriety” announced in France for winter 2022-2023 provided an opportunity for a discussion in the public arena of the various energy transition scenarios\, and revitalized the notion of sobriety. How are discourses encouraging the moderation of energy consumption perceived by civil society as a whole\, in a social and cultural context based on the idea of development and growth? And how is this call for sobriety put into practice?
