Hello everyone,
In this issue: the concepts of temporary organization, low tech, and the Organocene; the potential role of artificial intelligence in the social sciences; and the use of interviews as a method for collecting qualitative data.
Edith Stein was the first woman to earn a doctorate in philosophy in Germany. She worked with Husserl (having edited Lectures on the Intimate Consciousness of Time alongside Heidegger, her name was omitted from the cover). A Carmelite nun, she died in Auschwitz because she was born Jewish.
L’ami Fritz remains a delight for readers. Zola looked down somewhat on this type of literature, which aimed to draw the working classes toward reading, history, and the republic. He failed to recognize a rare example of philosemitism in the 19th century.
The illustrations are from the Pekka Halonen exhibition that Michèle Breton visited for Libellio.
